Patna: Two people were killed and one critically injured after a speeding tractor hit two motorcycles in Shyampur Bazar under Uchkagaon police station area of Gopalganj late Saturday evening. The injured person was referred to Gorakhpur for treatment. Police are searching for the tractor driver, who fled the spot.The victims were identified as Nasir Alam, 28, and Sujeet Kumar Pandey. Their bodies were handed over to family members after post-mortem at Sadar hospital.According to police, Nasir and another person were riding one motorcycle, while Sujeet was on another. Near a fuel station at Shyampur Bazar, a speeding tractor coming from the opposite direction rammed into both bikes. The impact threw all three onto the road, killing Nasir on the spot.The Dial 112 team rushed the injured to Model Hospital, Gopalganj, where Sujeet later died. The third injured person was referred due to critical condition.Uchkagaon assistant sub-inspector Ashiq Rasool Khan said, “After the accident, the tractor driver fled the spot, leaving the tractor behind. The tractor has been seized and raids are on to nab the fleeing driver.”
