400 students take part in MNNIT's 1st student community day

Prayagraj: The Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad hosted the first edition of Student Community Day (SCD), organized by AWS Cloud Clubs MNNIT.The flagship event brought together over 400 students, educators and industry professionals for a full day of technical workshops, expert sessions, a 48-hour hackathon finale and an open panel discussion, all at the intersection of cloud computing and artificial intelligence.The event was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp and the Saraswati Vandana, led by Prof RS Verma, director, MNNIT Allahabad, and Prof Mayank Pandey, head of department, Computer Science & Engineering. The community note was delivered by Kanishk Agrawal, founder and cloud captain of AWS Cloud Clubs MNNIT.The speaker lineup offered students a rare window into the real world of cloud and AI. Vraj Chaubal, co-Founder of a stealth AI startup and AWS Community Builder, led a workshop on cloud strategy and generative AI, drawing from his experience scaling GenAI solutions for startups.Besides, Yash Sagar Santani, full stack engineer at XcelPros, Berlin, conducted an expert session on Agentic AI, exploring the rise of autonomous systems capable of complex, independent reasoning.Furthermore, Harshil Raj, AI systems and automation specialist, walked participants through building production-ready AI workflows that go beyond the generative AI hype.Similarly, Sagar Shah, Senior Engineer at Logitech and creator of Cosmic-OS, closed the technical sessions with a deep dive into AOSP, build systems and large-scale CI/CD pipelines. A standout feature of the day was the grand finale of OPS 48, a 48-hour hackathon with 90+ participating teams from colleges across the region. The top five teams pitched their solutions live on stage, with prize distribution celebrating the ingenuity and effort of all participants.The event concluded with an open panel discussion, closing remarks from the speakers and faculty, and a Student Note by Anurag Ranjan, AWS Cloud Club Head, followed by a Faculty Note from Prof. Sarsij Tripathi, Faculty Club In-Charge. Student Community Day 2026 set a strong precedent for future editions, proving that student-led communities can deliver events of genuine technical and professional depth.====
