While several filmmakers and actors have shared concerns over the piracy issue, actor and politician Kasthuri Shankar recently stated that she watched leaked clips and called the film “three-hour propaganda.”

Kasthuri Shankar shared that she watched leaked clips of the film ‘Jana Nayagan’ that were shared on WhatsApp and other platforms, according to a Cinema Express report. She said the film is widely discussed everywhere now. She added, “It’s the talk of the town right now. I have also been learning new information about the movie and I can tell you that if it is seen by the public, it is beneficial to the TVK, not BJP or the DMK – the parties that Vijay is blaming,”. She also said she saw parts of the movie before its official release and reacted strongly to its content.She described ‘Jana Nayagan’ as a “three-hour propaganda” film linked to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. She said the film would help Vijay and his political party more than others like BJP or DMK. She also suggested that anything said by Vijay or his team is “purely optics” and meant to distract people from the real issue.

Kasthuri Shankar also raised concerns about how the high-quality version of the film was leaked online. She questioned the role of the Central Board of Film Certification and other agencies in controlling the film’s content. She said the film is available online without proper edits or censorship. She also suggested that the leak might have been done on purpose to spread the film’s message widely.
