Koderma: : The court of additional district and sessions judge Ghulam Haider gave life imprisonment to three members of a family for killing a man in 2021.The convicts, identified as Madan Sao (50), his wife Sarita Devi, and their son Mukesh (24) were found guilty of killing Mahendra Saw at Bekowar village.The court also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on each individual, noting that failure to pay would result in an additional year of jail time.The case dates back to June 10, 2021, when the victim left his home in the morning for work. According to the police, Mahendra was intercepted by the accused family and several others who were armed with sharp weapons. The group launched a violent attack with the intent to kill him owing to an old rivalry.When Mahendra’s brother, wife, and son heard his screams and rushed to intervene, they were also brutally assaulted and sustained serious injuries. Mahendra, who suffered deep wounds to his head and ears, was rushed to Sadar Hospital but was declared dead by doctors during his treatment. An FIR was lodged on the complaint of Bhagat Saw, brother of the deceased.
