Prayagraj: : A joint team of Nawabganj police and Special Task Force (Kanpur unit) on Sunday arrested Parmesh Kumar Patel (43) of Salon, Rae Bareli, wanted in connection with a murder case. Patel, who was carrying Rs 50,000 cash reward on his head, has as many as 10 criminal cases pending against him in police stations in Pratapgarh and Rae Bareli districts. Police said that accused of killing a woman in Wahidganj village in a property dispute, Patel and his accomplices, had been evading police since Feb.In another action, Kohdaur police arrested four miscreants, Neeraj Yadav, Abhishek Gautram, Shubham Gautam and Ansh Maurya, residents of Pratapgarh and Amethi, for alleged extortion. Police seized four crude bombs, two bikes with fake registration numbers and three mobile phones from their possession.Meanwhile, Fatehpur police arrested Kuldeep (29) and Kamal (19), residents of Hari Ka Muzra, on charges of filming and circulating an obscene video on social media. Police said a woman had accused both miscreants for raping her and uploading video of the act on social media. They were booked under section 65(1) and 61(2) of BNS, section 66 E of IT act and section 16 and 17 of POCSO act.
