CJI Surya Kant inaugurates new District Court Complex in Leh

CJI Surya Kant on Saturday inaugurated the new District Court Complex in Leh, Ladakh. During this, the new building of Ladakh Legal Services Authority (LLSA) was also inaugurated.

Second supplementary voter list of SIR released in Bengal, not told how many names were added or deleted

The Election Commission in West Bengal has released the second supplementary voter list on Friday night. However, information about how many names were added or removed has not been given.
According to the Commission, the booth-wise list was uploaded on the website at around 11:30 pm, but due to technical problems, the data regarding how many names were added or deleted could not be accessed.
Earlier on Monday, the first supplementary list was released, in which 13 lakh names were removed. These names were ‘under adjudication’, that is, the Commission was examining their documents. According to the Commission, more than 60 lakh names were kept in this category.
58 lakh names were removed during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). After this, the number of voters in the state had reduced from 7.66 crore to 7.08 crore. In the final voter list released on February 28, this number came down to 7.04 crore.

New vaccine for dengue, pneumonia and meningitis approved in the country, dosage for children also changed

The government’s Special Expert Committee (SEC) has approved three vaccines to prevent diseases like dengue, pneumonia and meningitis in the country. Among these, the tetravalent dengue vaccine of Japanese pharmaceutical company Takeda is special. It protects against all four types of dengue viruses.
Meningococcal polysaccharide tetanus vaccine of French company Sanofi Healthcare has also been approved. It will be given to people above 2 years of age to prevent meningitis. Similarly, SEC has recommended significant changes in the dosage of GC Chemy Pharma Company’s PCV vaccine to prevent pneumonia. Now children will be given a booster dose after three doses at the age of 15 to 18 months.
These activated chikungunya vaccines developed by Zydus Lifesciences for chikungunya have been approved for early stage trials (Phase-1). There is no vaccine available for this virus yet.
