Mapusa: Colvale police arrested a 28-year-old man on Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting his five-year-old neighbor girl.According to police, the accused repeatedly assaulted the minor over four consecutive days while her parents were not at home during work hours and her older brother was outside playing with his friends.The ordeal came to light on Monday when the young girl bravely narrated the disturbing incidents to her mother and grandmother.The survivor was immediately sent for a medical examination.The accused has been booked under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the POCSO Act, and the Goa Children’s Act.The investigation is under way under the supervision of PI Sanjit Kandolkar.
