BAGALKOTE: A man allegedly killed his wife in Todalabagi village of Karnataka’s Bagalkote district, suspecting her of being involved in an extramarital affair, police said on Friday.The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Somu. She had gone to a neighbour’s house when the accused allegedly attacked her. She is survived by two children, aged 9 and 7, police said.The accused, Malappa, has been arrested, and a case of murder has been registered against him.The incident occurred on Wednesday night.Bagalkote superintendent of police (SP) Siddharth Goyal said that the husband suspected his wife of being involved in an illicit affair. Acting on information that the alleged partner had visited her at a neighbour’s house, he went there, where the couple got into a heated argument. During the altercation, he assaulted her, and she died on the spot. “A lady named Somu, aged 32 years, wife of Malappa, was murdered in the Todalabagi village by her husband. The incident happened last night at around 10:30 pm. The attack occurred while she was visiting a neighbor who she used to work as a labourer. The husband suspected that she was having an illicit affair with another person. He got the information that while she was at the neighbour’s house, the other person had come to He went to the house, and she collapsed and died on the spot.
