Lucknow: The social welfare department said on Saturday that out of the 9,604 grievances registered on the IGRS portal, 8,896 (92.6%) cases were resolved successfully.“The department has also demonstrated strong performance in resolving grievances received through offline channels. Over the past two years, a success rate of 85.9% was achieved, with 889 out of the 1,035 received grievances being successfully resolved,” a government spokesperson said. The spokesperson added that matters related to government-run schemes — such as old-age pensions and scholarships — are being resolved on a priority basis.“This ensures that the elderly and students receive timely financial assistance, thereby providing stability and security in their lives. These schemes are proving to be immensely beneficial for the economically weaker sections of society,” the official said, adding that the department is committed to ensuring that no eligible individual faces any delays or difficulties in accessing the benefits of these schemes. The spokesperson said over the past year alone, direct assistance has been extended to 3,168 needy individuals. Furthermore, within just the last four months, the grievances of 991 individuals were resolved, and they were provided with the benefits of various schemes.
