Meerut: Labor unrest spread to Bulandshahr on Monday as over 100 workers protested for nearly four hours outside TAG Tropical Agrosystems (India) in Sikandrabad industrial area, demanding higher wages and basic benefits. The workers alleged harassment by contractors and cited low pay, long working hours, and the absence of PF and ESI facilities. They demanded a minimum monthly wage of ₹15,000 for women and ₹20,000 for men for 12-hour shifts.Senior administrative officials assured the workers that their demands would be addressed as per the labor laws, following which they resumed work.Assistant labor commissioner Pallavi Agarwal said the management has been asked to submit records for verification.Similar protests were later reported at Vileen Industries Ltd in Sikandrabad and across industrial units in Noida and Greater Noida, signaling growing unrest among contract workers in the region.
