Hoax Bomb threat at Trisha Krishnan's Chennai home leads police probe
Actress Trisha Krishnan’s Chennai home was searched after a bomb threat email, later confirmed as a hoax. The Cyber Crime Wing is investigating the anonymous sender, marking the second such incident for the star. This false alarm caused significant concern and a swift police response.

Tamil actress Trisha Krishnan reportedly received a bomb threat at her Chennai residence in the Teynampet area. This led to a quick response from the local authorities, who led an extensive search of the premises. Later, it was confirmed that the alert was a hoax.

Threat received via email sparks panic

The ‘Thug Life’ actress reportedly received a bomb threat at her residence through an email sent to the city control room. This message stated that explosives had been planted at her house. As soon as the alert was received, police teams rushed to the spot.

Police conduct thorough search operation

As per TOI, officers from the Teynampet police station reached the actress’s house to conduct the search with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS). Additionally, sniffer dogs were also bought in. After a careful check of the house and the nearby areas, the officials confirmed that there was no bomb or any dangerous substance found and the whole threat turned out to be fake.

Cyber Crime Wing launches investigation

Now, since this is the second case in a short time, the Cyber Crime Wing of Chennai Police has started a serious investigation. They are trying to find who sent the email. Officials are tracing the IP address and working with service providers to catch the person behind it. A case has also been registered under law for criminal intimidation and giving false information. This is not the first time such an incident has taken place. In 2025, Trisha Krishnan had received a similar threat. Earlier this year, an anonymous email was sent to the Tamil Nadu DGP control room claiming that bombs had been planted at the residences of superstar Rajinikanth and actor Dhanush in Chennai’s Poes Garden area.On the work front, Trisha Krishnan was last seen in Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Thug Life’ and will be next seen in the socio-fantasy film ‘Vishwambhara’, sharing space with Chiranjeevi and in Suriya’s ‘Karuppu’, directed by RJ Balaji.
