An experimental film is set to expand the language of cinema by merging poetry, painting and moving images into a single narrative form. The project follows the intertwined journeys of poets Prabal Kumar Basu and Dr. Debanjan Pan, placing their lives and verses within a surreal, layered visual landscape. Structured in two segments, the film explores key turning points in the poets’ lives, with narration and self-recitation working together to create an immersive, introspective experience. The approach moves beyond linear storytelling, leaning instead on mood, memory and artistic expression.

Actor Rayati Bhattacharya appears as a symbolic muse, adding emotional depth to the narrative. Shot across Kolkata and parts of North Bengal, including Darjeeling and Mirik, the film uses its locations to enhance its poetic tone. Directed and produced by Indranil Sarkar, the project marks his fourth venture into cine-poetry. The team includes associate director Chandrima Ray and cinematographer Subhankar Majumdar.

The film has completed shooting and is currently in post-production, with a release expected in September 2026.
