Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away on April 12 in Mumbai and left the nation mourning, with tributes continuing to pour in from across the country. Honoring her final wish, her son Anand Bhosle and granddaughter Zanai Bhosle traveled to Varanasi, where her ashes were immersed in the Ganga River on April 20. The iconic singer had passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai.Visuals from the ceremony have been widely shared online, capturing emotional moments from the rituals. In several clips, Zanai is seen breaking down after completing the rites, while Anand is seen offering prayers and immersing the ashes in the river. The family carried out the ceremony aboard a boat at one of the ghats along the Ganga. Following her grandmother’s demise, Zanai Bhosle took to Instagram to express her grief and reflect on the immense love Asha Bhosle received. “As I wake up this morning, I realize I have lost my partner in crime, my bestfriend, a person who completed my entire world and the first person to hold me when I was born. What do I do now? Who am I supposed to wake up and give a hug to in the morning and have chai with? Who’s going to be waiting for me everyday when I come home or who am I supposed to crack lame jokes with..
