In it, he appears visibly upset and opens up about his current struggles. The entrepreneur and producer talks about financial troubles and feelings of betrayal.

Murali clarified that his on-screen portrayal differs from reality. He described himself as an ordinary person facing serious challenges.“I believe most of you know me. Many of you might have seen the film Vellam. What was shown in that movie was for cinema—it’s not my real life. I am just an ordinary person.”He explained that his life now feels completely stuck. This situation prompted him to speak directly to the public through the video.
Business losses and betrayals
Murali detailed setbacks from his export business before entering films. He mentioned shipping tiles to Dubai, Australia, and Africa but facing unpaid dues from several Malayalis. He trusted people in business and suffered significant losses and still owes payments to various companies.

Murali Kunnumpurath produced ‘Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna’ at the request of Unni Vellora and Vijesh Panathoor. That venture resulted in a loss of around Rs 2 crore. His next film Sumathi Valavu, directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar and written by Abhilash Pillai, added to his troubles.“I lost around Rs 2 crore in that. Then came Sumathi Valavu. I believed it would be a big success. But now my life has completely slipped away. I feel like I have no option other than to die. I haven’t lived enough, I haven’t fulfilled my desires. But because of this film, I lost around Rs 7 crore,” said the producer in the video.He mentioned existing debts that have grown heavier due to these failures.
Naming those he holds responsible
Murali expressed deep disappointment with certain individuals involved in his film projects. He warned others against trusting them and described feeling cheated and ruined.“Abhilash Pillai, Vishnu… never trust them. Vishnu doesn’t even know direction. Everyone are frauds. Everyone should know this truth. They all together cheated me. They ruined my good life. May God forgive them.”He added that creditors are not allowing him to live peacefully. He also advised people against drinking, saying it contributed to his situation.Murali sounded remorseful about the impact on others, “I can’t hold on anymore. I really can’t. I already have a lot of debts, and this has added to it. So I feel like I’m going. I’m going… I haven’t had enough of living with my wife and children. But creditors are not letting me live. Everyone cheated me, everyone fooled me, and made me like this. Forgive me, everyone. Because of me, many people have suffered. Please, none of you should ever drink.
