Lucknow: A 15-year-old Class X student allegedly died by suicide in Lalganj town of Basti on Thursday, hours before her High School examination results were declared.According to family members, she had been under stress over her expected results.The girl’s father, who runs a grocery kiosk, said his daughter was good at studies but had been worried about her results. Although the girl thought that she would fail, she secured 63% marks.Lalganj SHO Chandan said the exact cause of death would be confirmed only after the post-mortem report.Police said that all angles were being probed, though preliminary findings suggest the student took the extreme step due to stress related to her examination results.
