CGBSE Chhattisgarh Board Class 10 result 2026: : The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has released the Class 10 merit list along with the High School Certificate Examination 2026 results. The toppers list shows a tie at the top, with three students securing Rank 1 with identical scores.The merit list also sees multiple shared positions across ranks, especially at Rank 2 and Rank 5, indicating close competition among students this year.As per the official merit list, here are the toppers up to Rank 5:

What stands out this year

The top rank is shared by three students, each scoring 594 out of 600, or 99 percent. Rank 2 has an even larger cluster, with five students scoring 593 marks. This pattern continues across the merit list, showing how narrowly separated the top scores are.Mahasamund district has a strong presence in the top ranks, with multiple students featuring in Rank 1 and Rank 2. Raipur and Mungeli also appear repeatedly in the top positions.

Overall result context

Besides the toppers list, CGBSE reported an overall pass percentage of 77.15 percent. Girls recorded a higher pass percentage of 81.03 percent, while boys stood at 72.27 percent.Out of over 3.16 lakh students who appeared for the exam, more than 2.43 lakh candidates passed, with a significant number securing first division.

What the merit list indicates

The clustering of ranks suggests that the difference between top-performing students is minimal. A difference of just one or two marks has pushed students across ranks, especially between Rank 1 and Rank 3.For students, this reflects a highly competitive evaluation cycle where small score variations determine final positions. For schools and districts, it highlights where academic performance is consistently strong.
