Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fielder Anukul Roy pulled off a stunning catch near the boundary line to dismiss Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Axar patel in their IPL 2026 match in Delhi on Friday. The wicket came off the bowling of Vaibhav Arora. Axar tried to pull a slower ball towards deep midwicket, but Anukul ran to his left and completed the catch while moving at speed near the boundary rope. He lost balance after collecting the ball and fell to the ground, but managed to keep hold of it.
Axar struggled during his innings and scored 11 runs off 22 balls as DC finished at 142/8 in 20 overs.Pathum Nissanka top-scored for DC with 50 off 29 balls. Ashutosh Sharma also contributed with 39 off 28 balls, hitting three fours and three sixes. For KKR, Anukul Roy and Kartik Tyagi picked up two wickets each.Delhi Capitals started their Indian Premier League 2026 campaign well but have since hit a rough patch, losing four of their last five games. With the playoff battle intensifying, they go into today’s match in a must-win situation, currently sitting seventh on the points table with four victories from 10 matches.Kolkata Knight Riders are also placed precariously, despite winning their last three games.
