Brendan Fraser on training for ‘The Mummy 4’
Fraser recently joined Jimmy Fallon on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ where he opened up about his upcoming project. Revealing that he has been training to get back in shape for the film, Fraser commented that he has been trying to do his best to prep for this. “Doing my best”, Fraser added while also sharing that the film was happening after a very long time of uncertainty.Further on, he also shared that he had been wondering for quite some time whether the project would come to fruition or not. “I was hopeful for a long while, and then I was like, ‘I don’t know if they are.’ Then other Mummy movies got made. But listen, what we’re going to do is saddle back up, go back to the locations—I should probably stop talking like this, because I don’t want to give everything away.”
Who all are going to return for ‘The Mummy 4’?
Talking about ‘The Mummy 4’, Fraser also commented that they are getting “the band back together” for the new film. He also added that “The only way to do it. So, we are going to give the audience what they have been bothering all of us for, for the last twenty-whatever years.”In an interview with The Associated Press last year, Fraser had talked about how the film was a long time coming, and opened up about how the film that he wanted to make never happened earlier on. He further explained, “But the one I wanted to make is forthcoming. And I’ve been waiting 20 years for this call. Sometimes it was loud; sometimes it was a faint telegraph. Now? It’s time to give the fans what they want.”As of right now, Fraser and Rachel Weisz have been confirmed to reprise their roles for the new film. Weisz was replaced by actress Maria Bello in the third film (“Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”) because of scheduling conflicts and other commitments and was last seen in her role in ‘The Mummy Returns.’
