Okay, so if you missed this, we need to catch you up because this was a BIG deal. Brittany Mahomes was honored recently with the inaugural Champion for Change Award by United WE, a national nonprofit that has been championing women’s economic and civic leadership for 35 years. The event was held at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, which, and this is the part that gets us every single time, is the first stadium in the entire WORLD built specifically for a women’s professional sports team. And Brittany? She helped BUILD it. As co-owner of the Kansas City Current, her investment, her voice, and her vision made that stadium a reality.
Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes turn heads with coordinated blue looks at a major awards event
So when they say “no better place to celebrate women than a stadium built for women,” they mean the woman being honored literally helped construct the building she was standing in. The audacity. The excellence. We love it.Brittany did not come to that podium looking regular. Not even a little bit.She stepped out in a bright blue power suit, structured, sharp, clean and the color choice was doing everything it needed to do. Blue is the color of authority, of calm confidence, of someone who knows exactly what they’re walking into. And Brittany walked into a stadium she co-owns, accepted an award named after her, and looked effortlessly powerful doing it. No over-the-top accessories, no trying too hard just a fit that said “I belong here” because she does. The suit was giving the first-ever award recipient energy and we are obsessed.
Patrick also said blue is the vibe, apparently
Patrick Mahomes didn’t just show up; he showed up dressed. The man was spotted in a light blue plaid suit, and we need to know if these two coordinated because the matching blue energy between husband and wife was NOT a coincidence. That is called being on the same wavelength, literally and fashionably. He sat in that audience, gave his wife a full standing ovation when she accepted her award on stage, and shared the moment on his Instagram stories. Supportive husband behavior in a coordinated fit? That’s a 10 out of 10 from us.Blue on blue. Power on power. Brittany, in her structured suit, commanded a room she helped build. Patrick, in his plaid, showed up and dressed the part for his wife’s moment. The fits matched the energy of the whole event — intentional, clean, and bigger than just clothes.
