While Israel supported the ceasefire announced by the US on Wednesday, it categorically stated that its war in Lebanon would not be subject to the agreement with Iran. Despite Pakistan, which mediated the deal, and Iran – who supported the Hezbollah in Lebanon – stating that the war would need to end, Israel has only raised the intensity of the war that has already killed an estimated 1,500 Lebanese.
