US President Donald Trump has congratulated PM Modi on his “historic” election victory, a White House spokesperson said Tuesday, in an apparent take on the recent round of assembly polls that were headlined by BJP’s big win in West Bengal.White House spokesperson Kush Desai spoke of Trump’s warm sentiments for Modi, noting that the US president in his phone call last month expressed his admiration for Modi and “how lucky India is to have him as its leader”.“The President congratulates PM Modi on this recent, historic, and decisive election victory,” Desai said.
