Harshit Rana checks into BCCI's Center of Excellence for rehab after surgery

MUMBAI: Ruled out of the 2026 T20 World Cup and then the IPL due to a knee injury he suffered in a World Cup warm-up match against South Africa at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on February 4, India pacer Harshit Rana is “recovering well”.Rana underwent a surgery in Mumbai on February 9, conducted by famous orthopedic surgeon Dr Dinshaw Pardiwalla, at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

He is doing well and his knee is recovering faster than expected. He has gained a bit of weight, which means that his fitness is a bit of a concern. He will need to work on his fitness,” a source tracking developments told TOI. The 24-year-old Rana won the ‘Best International Debutant’ at the BCCI awards in Delhi last month. “Surgery done right, now focused on recovery and getting back to what I love,” Rana had posted on Instagram alongside a picture of him giving a thumbs up while lying on a hospital bed.
