Bhopal: A father and son were killed while another man was critically injured after a speeding sand-laden hiwa truck hit their motorcycle in Shahdol district late on Monday, police said.The accident occurred in Deolond police station area near Shiv Shakti Ashram in Jagmal village when the victims, identified as Ishwar Deen Khairwar, 62, and his son Ganga Singh Khairwar, 45, residents of Chauri village, were traveling from Budhwa to Beohari along with a relative, Ramkushal. Police said the truck, allegedly coming from the wrong side at high speed, rammed into the motorcycle, killing the father-son duo on the spot.Ramkushal sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where his condition remains critical, police said.The vehicle has been seized and the driver taken into custody. Police said a case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
