Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and his longtime partner Olivia Carter are officially husband and wife. The couple tied the knot on Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Atlanta and honestly, the whole thing looked absolutely beautiful. They went with a bold red and black color scheme for the ceremony, very on-brand for a Falcons QB, and shared photos and videos straight to social media so fans could be part of the moment. From college sweethearts in Seattle to NFL royalty in Atlanta, this love story has been a whole journey and we are here for every second of it.
Falcons stars including Bijan Robinson and Drake London showed up big for their quarterback’s special day
This was not just a wedding, it was a full Atlanta Falcons team event. AJ Terrell, Bijan Robinson, Jessie Bates III and Drake London were all at the reception having the absolute time of their lives. And Kyle Pitts? He was literally on camera duty, filming his teammates all night. The whole squad came out to support their QB1 and honestly it is the kind of team chemistry you just cannot fake. Before we even get to the wedding let’s talk about how Penix popped the question because it was CINEMATIC. On Christmas Eve 2024 he set up a massive Marry Me sign surrounded by red roses and got down on one knee. She said yes obviously. The man really said I’m winning on the field AND off it and he was right.Olivia Carter is not your average WAG bestie. The girl studied biology at the University of Nevada Reno, was a college soccer player, and originally planned to become an anesthesiologist. She met Penix after he transferred to the University of Washington in 2021 and the two have been inseparable ever since. Their first public post together came at Christmas 2023 and by the time the 2024 NFL Draft rolled around they were walking in together hand in hand like the power couple they are. Penix got drafted by the Falcons in the first round and things have only gone up from there.
Kyle Pitts hilariously took over camera duties during the Falcons-heavy reception party
Penix has been recovering from a partially torn ACL he suffered back in November 2025 and there were real questions about his status heading into the 2026 season. But then videos from the reception started circulating and the man was SWAG SURFING on the dance floor with zero hesitation. Full send. The Falcons and their fans collectively exhaled because if he is moving like that at his wedding, his knee might just be closer to ready than anyone thought. Head coach Kevin Stefanski had said the team would monitor his progress through the summer before confirming his status for the season opener but those wedding dance videos might have just done more for fan confidence than any press conference ever could.
