Notable features include a user-friendly ‘Ward Find’ tool, a GIS-powered platform for tracking civic amenities, and a state-of-the-art Road & Drainage Management System.

Patna: The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) is undergoing a digital transformation with plans to launch an integrated citizen application and overhaul its property tax systems, location intelligence framework and e-office operations.Currently in the backend development and system integration phase, the app will act as a single-window platform for grievance redressal, tax payments and infrastructure monitoring. PMC commissioner Yashpal Meena said, “These technology-driven initiatives aim to ensure faster, transparent and data-driven service delivery by integrating services on a unified platform.”A key feature is the ‘Ward Find’ tool, which uses GPS to help residents identify their ward and access a directory of officials, including executive officers, engineers and sanitary inspectors. It integrates with the PMC map to define ward boundaries and provide updated contact details. The PMC Digital Assets platform, a GIS-based system, will map immovable assets such as public toilets, parks, offices, crematoria, vehicle yards and parking spaces with real-time navigation support. To strengthen infrastructure oversight, the Road & Drainage Management System (RDMS) will map roads, pipelines and drainage networks, including their condition and construction history. Residents can track projects, expenditure and contractor performance, and submit feedback.Revenue systems will be upgraded through a revamped property tax portal with online payments, self-assessment, mutation tools and SMS alerts. A unified grievance dashboard will integrate complaints from calls, web, social media and WhatsApp into an automated ticketing system with escalation features.“May I Help You” desks will assist citizens at PMC offices. Mayor Sita Sahu said the initiative aims to “empower citizens through technology and improve everyday civic experiences,” reflecting the vision of ‘Digital Patna’.
