Jaipur: From Jan 2016 to Jan 2026, Rajasthan has seen a staggering 3.16 crore metric tonne of agricultural produce traded on the e-NAM (National Agriculture Market) platform, valued at over Rs 1.3 lakh crore, an official statement said Thursday. The state ranks second in total arrivals and first in e-trade on e-NAM, it said.So far, more than Rs 505 crore has been paid electronically through 44,711 transactions, placing Rajasthan fourth in national e-payment rankings. The platform connects 15.5 lakh farmers, 87,509 traders, and nearly 28,000 commission agents, with 546 farmer producer organizations (FPOs) registered.Rajasthan promotes 138 commodities through e-NAM, which integrates 173 local mandis and utilizes AI and ML for quicker quality testing. Launched in April 2016, the platform aims to help farmers access broader markets and ensure better prices.The updated e-NAM 2.0, launched on Feb 12, enhances interstate trade with features like automated bidding and real-time pricing. The online auction process increases transparency, enabling farmers to receive direct payments after sales.
