Police said the Class 9 student was sleeping in the courtyard with her mother due to the heat when three youths allegedly abducted her by gagging her and took her to a nearby forest, where she was sexually assaulted. The accused allegedly fled after leaving the girl there, and she later returned home and informed her mother.“One of the accused was known to the survivor, he called her out on pretext of talking, but as she went out, the trio overpowered her. The two others who were present there took turns to rape her. They also thrashed her when she resisted and she sustained minor injuries. One of the accused is arrested, search for two others is going on,” DSP headquarters, Sidhi, Aman Mishra told TOI.
