NEW DELHI: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor Friday moved the Delhi high court against publication of AI-generated deepfake videos that show him praising Pakistan and making statements on “politically sensitive” issues, and sought protection of his personality rights. After hearing Tharoor’s submissions, Justice Mini Pushkarna issued summons to X and Meta, as well as the Centre, and indicated she would pass an interim order in his favour. “I am a former external affairs minister. It matters to India’s standing as well… It is liable to be misused by foreign states,” Tharoor said. tnn
