In her note, she wrote: “So overwhelmed with emotions—I’ll write something when I can—but I have to say that there were so many people who have respected her and honored her today, and beyond it all, showed her so much love.”

The singer had been hospitalized at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday. Doctors confirmed she was fighting multiple health problems and passed away from multi-organ failure on Sunday.
