Madhuban: Two bike riders died and three others sustained injuries after two motorcycles collided head-on at Dhabhi Chowk under Laukahi police station in Madhubani district late Wednesday night.According to police, one motorcycle was carrying two riders while the other had three. The collision occurred due to high speed. All five victims were rushed to Phulpara’s referral hospital, where doctors declared two of them dead on arrival.The deceased have been identified as 20-year-old Bablu Kumar of Bhatawari village and 22-year-old Ghanshyam Mukhiya of Sudai Ratauli village, both under Phulparas police station. The injured include Arun Kumar of Sonvarsha, who is in critical condition, along with Mukesh Kumar and Rakesh Kumar. The injured were referred to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for better treatment.Laukahi SHO Gaurav Kumar said, “Both motorcycles have been seized, and the bodies sent to Madhubani sadar hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.”
