Hyundai Motor India recently launched the new 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift SUV in the Indian market priced at Rs 55.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated electric SUV has been introduced with a larger battery pack, revised styling, additional technology and enhanced safety features. However, it is priced at Rs 12.10 lakh, higher than the outgoing model, which was on sale at Rs 43.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai IONIQ 5, built on the Hyundai E-GMP platform, continues as the company’s flagship electric model in India. It is priced at Rs 12.10 lakh, higher than the outgoing model, which was listed at Rs 43.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The increase reflects improvements in range and efficiency, along with exterior design changes that give the model a more current appearance. The Kia EV6 too is offered in a single range-topping AWD GT line variant priced at Rs 65.97 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is priced Rs 10.27 lakh lower than the Kia EV6.2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 vs Kia EV6: Battery, RangeThe 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes with a larger 84kWh battery pack, replacing the earlier 72.6kWh unit. It has claimed an ARAI-certified driving range of up to 690km in one full charge. Hyundai has not disclosed power figures for the India-spec model. However, in global markets, the rear-wheel-drive version with the 84kWh battery delivers 229hp and 350Nm.

The Kia EV6 gets an 84 kWh battery paired with dual electric motors which puts out a combined output of 320bhp and 605Nm.
