Noida: A new two-storey primary school building in Haldauni of Greater Noida will start functioning from April 29, replacing the earlier dilapidated facility. Built under a CSR initiative at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore, the school can accommodate around 300 students.The school is equipped with six classrooms, smart classrooms, a computer lab, a Nipunshala that encourages activity-based learning to improve reading, writing and arithmetic skills, science and robotics laboratories, a smart mathematics and science lab, and a staff room. Benches and classroom furniture have also been installed.Basic education officer Rahul Panwar said the campus has been designed to match modern standards. “The school has several high-tech facilities at par with private schools. It will give a new direction to government education in the district,” he said.Apart from academic facilities, the campus includes a playground, a children’s park and a nutrition garden to support physical activity and experiential learning. Officials said the design is aligned with the National Education Policy, with emphasis on practical and holistic education.Special arrangements have also been made for children with disabilities. The school has ramps, railings, disabled-friendly toilets and assistive facilities to ensure accessibility. An education department official said inclusive learning has remained a priority. “No child should face difficulty in accessing school facilities. The campus has been designed so that children with disabilities can move freely and study comfortably,” the official said.“The district magistrate is expected to formally hand over the school to the education department on April 29, after which teaching activities will commence,” he said.
