Adivi Sesh, who shared screen space with Mrunal Thakur in ‘Dacoit’, appears to be consciously reshaping his cinematic journey at this stage of his career. After consistently delivering gripping, high-intensity performances, the actor now seeks to diversify his portfolio by embracing emotionally driven storytelling. Following the success of ‘Dacoit’, Sesh is set to return briefly to his action space with ‘G2’, the sequel to ‘Goodachari’. However, what follows marks a clear departure, as he has signed on to lead two romantic dramas, moving beyond the high-stakes characters that have defined his recent work. The first of these romantic ventures will be helmed by Sai Marthand, who impressed audiences with his debut ‘Little Hearts’. The pairing has already generated interest, as it brings together a filmmaker known for emotional storytelling and an actor ready to explore a softer screen presence. Reflecting on his journey, Sesh shared with News18, “Dacoit has been an incredibly rewarding journey, especially because of the love it has received from audiences. But as an actor, I’ve always believed in the importance of not getting too comfortable in one space.“Explaining what drew him toward romantic narratives, he shared, “Over the last few years, I’ve explored intense, high-stakes narratives, and I’m grateful for how strongly they’ve connected. At the same time, I’ve been feeling a strong pull toward stories that are more intimate and emotionally driven. Romance, when done right, can be incredibly powerful and deeply relatable.”Opening up about his decision, Sesh added, “These two scripts really stood out to me because they approach love and relationships in very different ways. They’re not just love stories, they’re about people, vulnerability, and the choices that define us. That’s something I’m very excited to explore as an actor.”Even as he embraces romance, Sesh is not stepping away from action. With ‘G2’ continuing the slick, espionage-driven world of ‘Goodachari’, he ensures that his core fan base still gets the adrenaline rush they expect. Summing up his approach, Sesh explained, “I don’t see it as a shift away from action, but rather an expansion of what I want to do. G2 is very much in that high-octane space, but these romantic dramas allow me to tap into a completely different emotional spectrum. As an actor, that’s the kind of diversity I’ve been seeking.”
