Singer-composer Prajakta Shukre has hit the ground running since stepping out of the Bigg Boss Marathi 6 house, and she shows no signs of slowing down. Her latest venture, a song titled Ya Tum, features none other than Arijit Singh on vocals, with lyrics penned by Manan Bharadwaj.For Prajakta, having Arijit lend his voice to her composition is nothing short of a dream come true. “Ya Tum is my dream project and it getting Arijit’s voice makes me feel fortunate as a composer,” she said, her excitement barely contained.“The entire team has given the best of their best in making this song. And what to speak of Arijit… He is a magician who always touches the heart and soul with his voice and singing. He has inspired the exact emotions and feelings that we all have been wishing for.”
The composer was quick to highlight that her rapport with Arijit made this collaboration all the more special. “He is a dear friend, and I’m so glad that he loved the song and my composition and agreed to be a part of this project,” she said warmly.The song, she explains, was born from a conscious desire to revive a sound that feels increasingly rare. “We wanted to bring back the classic kinda music, which has been fading in recent times. I hope everyone listens to it and sends us their love, support and feedback.”Prajakta also made sure to tip her hat to Manan Bharadwaj, calling him out with heartfelt gratitude. “A special mention and thanks to my friend Manan who has written the lyrics so beautifully,” she added. The song stars actors Sandesh Bhandari and Anukriti Vidyarthi, rounding out what promises to be a richly emotional musical offering.The announcement comes on the heels of yet another success for Prajakta; her Maharashtra Diwas special song Shivba Marathi Mannat recently made headlines and has been receiving an outpouring of love from audiences across Maharashtra.
