The movie stars Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph and Vineeth Sreenivasan in important roles. The film is officially releasing in theaters on May 14.

Film clears censor formalities

Recently, the movie completed its censor process. The Central Board of Film Certification gave the film a U certificate. This means people of all age groups can watch the movie in theatres.Athiradi is also special because it marks Basil Joseph’s first film as a producer. The project is backed along with Dr Ananthu Entertainments.The movie is directed by Arun Anirudhan. This is his first film as a director. Earlier, he worked as a co-writer for films like Minnal Murali and Padayottam.

The makers describe ‘Athiradi’ as a campus-based action entertainer with a fun and festive mood. The script is written jointly by Arun Anirudhan and Paulson Skaria, who previously co-wrote ‘Kaathal – The Core’.The film also features Riya Shibu, Zarin Shihab and Darshana Rajendran in key roles. The cinematography is handled by Samuel Henry, editing is done by Chaman Chakko and the music is composed by Vishnu Vijay.Along with Basil Joseph and Ananthu, the movie is co-produced by Tovino Thomas and filmmaker-cinematographer Sameer Thahir.
