VASAI: BJP Palghar MP Dr Hemant Savara narrowly escaped serious injuries after his car met with an accident in Naigaon on Friday morning, around 7 am. According to Savara, he was traveling from Thane to Palghar to attend a Maharashtra Day-related event when a dumper allegedly rammed into his vehicle, just after crossing the Versova creek bridge (Bhayander creek bridge). “The dumper driver could not spot our car and rammed into us,” Savara said after this head-on collision. The MP sustained only minor scratches in the crash, while his driver suffered a fractured hand and is undergoing treatment. Savara further stated that their vehicle was traveling on the wrong side on the Mumbai-bound lane due to heavy traffic congestion on the Gujarat-bound carriageway.
