Lucknow: Candidates selected by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) and Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) on Thursday expressed gratitude to chief minister Yogi Adityanath, saying their appointments were made through a transparent and fair recruitment process.As many as 481 appointment letters were distributed by the CM. Of these, 202 candidates were selected for the Ayush department as professors, readers, medical officers and staff nurses, 272 for the vocational education department, and seven for posts including nurses, hostel wardens and compounders in the department of empowerment of persons with disabilities.Dr Mohammad Nasir, appointed as professor of Unani in the Ayush department, said the selection process was conducted transparently and thanked the government for curbing corruption.Upasana Devi, selected as a staff nurse in Ayurveda, said the transparent recruitment process had strengthened candidates’ trust. Another appointee, Anamika Patel, said she was happy to secure a job in the field she had prepared for, adding that women were being given equal rights and respect. She said she would discharge her duties with full dedication.Amit Thapa, an ITI instructor from Ghazipur, said there was no need for recommendations at any stage of the selection and that no unfair means were used.Archana Maurya from Chandauli said her appointment was not just a job but also a responsibility towards the state’s development. “Earlier, many youths believed it was difficult to get a government job without influence or money. This perception has been changing under the present government,” she said.Dr Neha Swaroop from Rae Bareli, selected as a residential homeopathic medical officer, said serving in the Ayush department was a matter of pride and that she would work to improve healthcare services in rural areas.Several candidates said the recruitment process had restored confidence among the youth, with merit and hard work emerging as the key criteria for government jobs, gradually reducing mistrust associated with earlier recruitment exercises.
