Fans of Vikram are eagerly awaiting fresh updates about his upcoming film ‘Chiyaan 63.’ The excitement around the project increased massively after the recently released first glimpse video went viral on social media during the actor’s birthday celebrations. Directed by Anand Shankar, the movie marks another collaboration between the director and Vikram after ‘Iru Mugan.’
‘Chiyaan 63’ to hit floors in June
According to Cinema Vikatan, the shooting of ‘Chiyaan 63’ is now expected to begin in the first week of June. Initially, the makers planned to start filming earlier this month, but the schedule has now been slightly pushed. The entire shoot is expected to happen in and around Chennai. Reports also suggest that Vikram has allocated more than 50 days continuously for the project, showing his full commitment to the film. Meanwhile, the actor is also balancing advertisement shoots and other professional commitments before completely focusing on this big-budget entertainer.
Strong technical team raises expectations for ‘Chiyaan 63’
The film’s technical crew has already grabbed attention among cinema fans. Popular composer Santhosh Narayanan is joining hands with Vikram for the first time, making the music one of the major highlights to look forward to. Cinematographer RD Rajasekhar, who previously worked on Bheema and Iru Mugan with Vikram, is also part of the project. Apart from the technical side, reports state that veteran actors urvashi and MS Bhaskar will play important roles in the film.
Riya Shibu is set for a powerful role beside Vikram
Another interesting update from the film is the inclusion of Riya Shibu in an important character role. Though rumors initially claimed she would play the female lead, reports now suggest that her role will be strong and impactful. Riya, who earlier produced ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’ starring Vikram, is said to be a huge admirer of the actor. She recently gained popularity after the success of Sarvam Maya and is now making her acting debut in Tamil cinema through this project. Meanwhile, the makers are still reportedly in talks with a few actresses for the female lead role, as the story is said to focus more on the hero’s journey rather than a heroine-centric track.
