IPL 2026 Points Table: With all teams playing at least seven games, the IPL 2026 points table is taking shape for the playoffs, and after the mayhem over the weekend that saw record-breaking innings, Punjab Kings still continue to dominate the points tally and remain at the top of the points table with 13 points with a NRR of +1.333, followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the second spot with 10 points from 7 games.Sunrisers Hyderabad are third, also with 10 points, having played 8 games, while the current final playoff spot is occupied by Rajasthan Royals, also on 10 points from 8 games with a NRR of +0.602.
Gujarat Titans are just outside the top 4, in 5th after their win over Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, with 8 points from 4 matches and a NRR of -0.475. Chennai Super Kings find themselves in 6th spot, having lost five out of their 8 matches, and have 6 points. So does the Delhi Capitals, who will be playing against the RCB today.DC will be hoping to get their 4th win of the season, playing at home, and will try to shake off the big loss against PBKS over the weekend.KKR, after the Super Over win over LSG on Sunday, have something to be cheerful about and find themselves in 7th spot with 5 points from 8 matches. While the bottom two teams are: Mumbai Indians – at the 9th place with 5 losses in 7 games and a NRR of -0.736. The bottom dwellers, however, are the Lucknow Super Giants, who endured their 6th loss of the season on Sunday, at the hands of KKR in the season’s first Super Over and have only 4 points to show for their effort from 8 matches. The race of the playoffs heats up quite fast, and by the looks of it, PBKS are leading that race at the moment and are in a comfortable position. Theoretically, 16 points ensures a playoff spot, and if PBKS continue their current momentum, they should comfortably reach 20 points and should ensure not only a playoff spot, but a top 2 spot as well.RCB, SRH and RR will have to catch up and realistically will be hoping to reach the 16-point mark by the time league stages end.GT, CSK and DC will be looking to not let up now because a string of losses in the latter half of the league could spell doom for their playoff chances. For KKR, MI and LSG, it’s the fight for survival and every game from here onwards will be crucial for the chances to make the playoff. One loss or at the max two losses will surely pull them back from the IPL 2026 playoff race.
