The JEE Advanced 2026 registration window is nearing closure, requiring eligible JEE Main qualifiers to complete applications before the deadline. The exam, to be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee on May 17, will follow strict eligibility norms, with admit cards scheduled for release on May 11 and fee payment allowed until May 4.

JEE Advanced application process 2026: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) will close the registrations window for the Advanced exams. Eligible candidates who have qualified in JEE Main exam must complete the application process on the official website before the deadline. The examination will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. The application process started on April 23 at 10 am. The exam is scheduled to be held on May 17, 2026.Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee to complete the registration. The fee is Rs 3,200 for general category candidates and Rs 1,600 for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The last date to pay the fee is May 4.Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2001. A five-year age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. A maximum of two attempts in two consecutive years is allowed.Applicants must have appeared for their Class 12 or equivalent examination for the first time in 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates already admitted to any IIT under programs listed in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority Business Rules 2025 are not eligible.

Exam and admit card details

JEE Advanced 2026 will be held on May 17 as a computer-based test. The exam will consist of two compulsory papers, each covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each paper will have a duration of three hours. PwD candidates opting for compensatory time will be given four hours.The admit card will be released on May 11 at 5 pm. Candidates will be able to download it until 2:30 pm on May 17. The admit card will carry details such as name, roll number, photograph, date of birth, category, and signature.
