MUMBAI: The Sri Brahma Kumbhabhishek ceremony of the 40-year-old Sri Prasanna Ganpati temple at Matunga will be performed by 12 visiting priests from Udupi, Karnataka, on May 6. This is preceded by special rituals over three days. The ceremony involves 108 pots filled with holy water, said temple chairman Krishna Acharya. The idol had been relocated to Sankara Mattham, Matunga, for three years due to the redevelopment of the building where the shrine is located. The idol will be consecrated in the temple during this Kumbhabhishek.
