Jaguar TCS Racing claimed a 1–2 finish in the most recent Formula E race in Madrid, and drivers Antonio Felix da Costa and Mitch Evans are in strong form to aim for a similar result at the upcoming Berlin E-Prix. The team is also riding a wave of momentum, having secured double wins at last year’s Berlin double-header, with Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy taking victory in the two races, when the latter was racing for Jaguar before moving to Citroen Racing this season. As they return to the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit for Rounds 7 and 8 of the Formula E World Championship on 2–3 May, both Evans and da Costa have shared their thoughts.

How excited are Jaguar drivers Antonio Felix da Costa and Mitch Evans for Berlin E-Prix

With three wins in the last four races and a double podium in Madrid, Jaguar TCS Racing now sits second in both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ standings. Mitch Evans is third in the Drivers’ standings, while Antonio Felix da Costa is fourth. Antonio also holds a joint record of three career victories in Berlin.Jaguar driver Mitch Evans said, “The team’s in a really good place at the moment. We’ve been putting together solid results, and that consistency is keeping us right in the mix for the championship. Sitting third gives me confidence, but it also pushes me to keep raising the bar. Berlin is always a tricky one with how unpredictable the racing can be, but I’m feeling ready for it. The goal is to keep the momentum going and bring home another strong points haul.“Antonio Felix da Costa added, “It’s been a special run of races for me, and I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved together as a team. Back-to-back wins don’t happen without everyone pulling in the same direction, and that’s exactly the environment we have right now. Berlin is a place I’ve always enjoyed racing, and coming in with this momentum just adds to the excitement. We’re fully focused on the championship, and I’m ready to fight for another strong result.“

What Jaguar TCS Racing’s team principal said ahead of Berlin E-Prix

Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal Ian James also expressed confidence in the team. He said, “Everyone has dug incredibly deep over the past few rounds, and seeing that hard work translate into results has been hugely rewarding. But we’re not getting carried away. The championship fight is properly underway now, and Berlin is another opportunity to show what we’re capable of. The atmosphere inside the team is fantastic – focused, motivated, and hungry to keep this momentum rolling.“Days before the Berlin E-Prix, Mitch Evans announced that he would leave the team at the end of the season. The decision was reached by mutual agreement between him and the team. Both Evans and Jaguar are committed to making the final 11 races together a success, building on their positive 10-year partnership. Also read: Mitch Evans to leave Jaguar TCS Racing after a decade: “Time is right to embark on a new challenge”
