CHENNAI: Stepping up his ante against the proposed delimitation bill, chief minister MK Stalin announced a black flag protest across the state.Stalin in a video message said TN will witness a black flag protest. “Time has come for every family in Tamil Nadu to show their protest against the BJP govt at the centre. To show our protest against the delimitation bill to be tabled tomorrow, we shall raise black flags in our houses and public places,” Stalin said.Calling the amendment bill on delimitation as a “black Act”, Stalin said the bill will take India to a “dark age”.Stalin released a video on Tuesday giving a “stern warning” to BJP stating that if they proceed with the delimitation bill, they will have to witness Tamil Nadu of 1950s and 1960s. The BJP govt has convened a special session of Parliament from Thursday to Saturday in which bills on delimitation are set to be tabled.Stalin warned that delimitation should not be based on population. “The delimitation exercise will favor north Indian states and they will bring a scenario where they would not need southern states anymore. Is this a punishment for south Indian states who controlled population? Will you (BJP) snatch our rights for standing with country’s welfare?” Stalin said. “You see Tamils as secondary citizens.”
