The four-time Grand Slam champion wore a custom white feathered outfit designed by Robert Wun, along with a matching headpiece created by Avon Golding Millinery in London. Speaking to Vogue during the event, Osaka explained why the night meant so much to her.“Obviously, a lot of people know me for my tennis outfits, and the Met Gala is the Grand Slam of fashion,” Naomi Osaka said. “To have the opportunity to be here and express my style on this stage is something that’s really cool for me,” she added.Later during her appearance, Osaka removed the white outer layer and revealed a sparkling red dress covered with Swarovski crystals.
