A few hours ago, according to Tyler Dragon of USA Today Sports, the Los Angeles Chargers have been tipped to make a move for the New York Giants’ star player, Dexter Lawrence.USA Today Sports’ Tyler Dragon took toUSA Today Sports’ Tyler Dragon added, “A source told @usatodaysports the Chargers are one of a few “logical” destinations for Lawrence if the Giants do trade him.”Interestingly, the Los Angeles Chargers have stayed away from commenting on trade speculations concerning Dexter Lawrence.A few days ago, as per NJ.com’s Darryl Slater, the Los Angeles Chargers’ general manager Joe Hortiz opened up about Dexter Lawrence and said, “I typically don’t like talking about players on other teams. You guys know that. I’ll say he’s a great player, and I’ll leave it at that.”For now, the trade talks involving Dexter Lawrence remain complicated as many rival teams have been linked to him. The 28 year old New York Giants’ star player experienced a difficult time in the last season as he suffered from a lingering elbow injury since the 2024 season.While Dexter Lawrence played all 17 games, he had a half-sack, 31 total tackles, one interception, and four passes defended.As compared to the 2024 season, Dexter Lawrence’s performance on the field recorded a major dip.Back in 2024, though he could play in only 12 games because of his elbow injury, Dexter Lawrence recorded a career high 9.0 sacks as he added 16 quarterback hits, eight tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.This led to Dexter Lawrence being named to his third Pro Bowl along with being named to the 2024 NFLPA All-Pro team.As per ESPN, Dexter Lawrence has asked for a trade after his contract negotiations with the New York Giants have failed.While the New York Giants have expressed interest in keeping Dexter Lawrence, all eyes are on his comeback to the field in the next season.
