Nikhil Sharma on joining Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2: Calling it just a show would be an understatement.

Nikhil Sharma, who has joined Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, calls being part of the iconic show nothing short of a privilege. The actor, who has been cast opposite Pari, played by Shagun Sharma, is already soaking in the experience of working on a show he grew up watching, headlined by Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, who also lead the second season.Speaking about becoming a part of the legacy show, Nikhil says, “Calling it just a show would be an understatement. It’s a vibe. With a big show comes great responsibility too. All my co-actors are so in sync that when you perform with them, your own performance automatically improves.”Opening up about his character, he shares, “I’m playing Aryan, an advocate who works as Gomzi’s (Sumeet Sachdev) assistant. He sends me to Mumbai for work, where I reconnect with Pari, who was my classmate. That’s where the track begins, with Tulsi (Smriti Irani) also looking for a suitable match for Pari.”Talking about what excites him the most about the project and his shooting schedule, Nikhil says, “Of course, the character I’m portraying is something I’m very excited about. Aryan has an interesting graph. Also, working with actors I grew up watching is truly special. It feels surreal to share screen space with them. I started shooting about a week ago, and it has been an amazing experience so far.”Recalling his memories of the first season, which aired between 2000 and 2008, he says, “I was in Class 2 or 3 when the show first started. I come from a joint family, and everyone in the house would be hooked on to it. I still remember hearing the title track playing from every house while passing by. The excitement when an episode ended and the discussions that followed took me right back to my childhood.”
