'Raja Shivaji' box office collection Day 1: Riteish Deshmukh's film opens at Rs 3.35 crore; Marathi version dominates nationwide

Riteish Deshmukh’s ambitious project ‘Raja Shivaji’, the film based on Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, opened to mixed reactions from the critics as well as the audience. Despite that, the film raked in a good number at the box office. The film was simultaneously shot in Marathi and Hindi. While the Marathi version minted a record-breaking number, the Hindi one showcased a decent box office score.

As per the Sacnilk report, on Day 1, the Riteish Deshmukh starrer has minted Rs 3.35 crore across 4,251 shows in the country. The film ran across 6291 shows in total, including Hindi, Marathi, and Telugu versions. The film collected Rs 11.35 crore net in total (Hindi and Marathi) in India.
