Restoration work on old Buxar railway bridge intensified

बुक्सर: Restoration work on the old railway bridge over a canal at the eastern end of Buxar railway station has gained momentum, with officials stepping up efforts to ensure safe and uninterrupted train movement. The bridge had long required strengthening, prompting the railways to take up the project on priority, they said.Buxar railway traffic inspector Vindhyachal Pandey said trains were earlier allowed to pass over the bridge at reduced speeds and under caution due to its deteriorated condition. “Passenger safety is paramount. Keeping this in mind, reconstruction work has been initiated on priority,” he said.Taking advantage of a scheduled ‘Mega Block’ at Neura station for signal-related work, railway authorities have intensified construction activities along the Buxar–Chausa section. Over two dozen railway officials and employees, along with hundreds of workers, are engaged in the operation despite extreme heat.Modern machinery, including cranes and specialized equipment, is being deployed to speed up the work. The railways aim to complete the restoration at the earliest and restore normal train services without delay. Senior officials, including Buxar station manager Rajat Saxena and members of the technical team, inspected the work progress.
