Hansal Mehta on ‘Pralay’ and Ranveer Singh ‘s role
When asked how ‘Pralay’ took shape, Hansal shed some light on the journey behind the film, revealing that the concept had been brewing for a while under Jai Mehta’s vision. Ranveer Singh’s discovery of Jai’s directorial work proved to be the turning point, as the actor’s appreciation for his craft set the wheels in motion. “Jai had been working on this idea for a long time,” Hansal Mehta told THR India. “When Ranveer saw his directorial work, he was impressed. Then Jai pitched the idea to him. Once Ranveer said he liked the idea, we invested in developing it—helping Jai create the world he wants to present in the film. Ranveer’s conviction and commitment towards both the script and Jai has enabled Pralay.”
