Prayagraj: : A joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) and Cantt police on Sunday arrested a social media influencer on the charges of blackmailing a lawyer and threatening to upload vulgar photos on social media.Cops have also seized a smart phone from the accused, Sumit Gupta (22), a resident of Kydganj, and booked him under section 308(2) and 351(2) of BNS and section 66 of IT act.ACP ( Civil Lines) Vidyut Goel said a lawyer had lodged an FIR with Cantt police against the accused alleging that he was demanding Rs 10 lakh and threatening to defame him with the help of fake ID and uploading vulgar photos.He added that the accused had also threatened to fabricate fake rape charges against the lawyer.
